About 70 Strong

70 Strong is a free referral service for people 60 years old and older to stay active and connected.

We connect seniors to free and low-cost activities and services in the community with a focus on:

We reach people where they live, with information delivered on the web, on the phone or through in-person meetings.

Who we are: 70 Strong is an initiative of the Sequoia Healthcare District in San Mateo County, California, in partnership with the non-profit Peninsula Family Service.

By making it easier for older adults and seniors to connect with activities and services they enjoy, 70 Strong promotes the well-being, peace of mind and quality of life of residents, and reflects the latest thinking on successful aging.

You will find dozens of fitness and social activities, education and volunteer opportunities, hospitals and community health clinics, transportation and housing options, classes and support groups and many more options.

Who we serve: 70 Strong is designed for residents of the Sequoia Healthcare District, which encompasses Atherton, Belmont, Portola Valley, Redwood City, Redwood Shores, San Carlos and Woodside, and parts of Foster City, Menlo Park and San Mateo (94404).
